England x Reader- Cheer up love

Lately, (Name) had been looking sad, and not herself lately. So I invited her over for tea, to see what was wrong.

Because seeing her so sad looking, simply breaks my heart...

Me and her both sat across from each other, quietly sipping the tea I made earlier. She hadn't spoke a word ever since she got here. I even felt afraid to talk to her, not knowing what to say, or how to say it.


"(Name), have you been feeling alright lately?"

She looked up and me and put her cup down. "I'm just having problems. Problems with my family and friends. I lost my job too..." (Name) said with a sigh. I gave her a sympathetic look, trying to understand what she was going through.


I couldn't think of anything to say, so I stood up from my chair. I took a few steps towards her and leaned down and gave her a hug. Instantly I could tell that she was surprised, but I hugged her anyways.


"I promise things will get better (Name). If anything else happens...I'll be right by your side to help." I whispered to her. "Arthur...thank you..." She said softly, as I heard her sniff.


(Name) buried her head into my shoulder, and I could feel her tears dampen my coat. I squeezed her tighter, and pat her back, trying to soothe her. She began to cry harder into my shoulder. "Shh, its okay (Name). Please stop crying..." I said as I pet her head.


She pulled away slightly and looked up at me, her (e/c) eyes glistening with tears. I wiped her cheek, looking at her. "Thank you..." (Name) said quietly, smiling at me. Without thinking, I leaned in and kissed her. Realizing what I was doing, I pulled away and turned away from her.


"Arthur?"

"..."

"Why did you..kiss me?"

"..."


I didn't say a word to her, because I felt so flustered from the kiss I gave her. Of course I loved her, but I didn't want her to know. Probably because she didn't feel the same way? But by telling her, would I make her happier?


"I love you..." (Name) said quietly, giving me a hug. "Wha-What? You do?" I said, shocked that she felt the same. (Name) leaned closer to my face and began giving me kisses, a smile on her face as she did so. "Of course you idiot!" She laughed, hugging me tighter.


"I love you too!" I said with joy, a smile on my face as well.


"Do you feel better now (Name)?" I asked her, because she looked happy.


"Yeah, I do. But I would probably feel a lot better if you gave me another kiss~" (Name) said with a smirk.


"Don't mind if I do."
